Trends 2008 for home and object textiles
"What’s new“, design enthusiasts ask at the beginning of the year, and the large leading fairs of the textile and furnishing sector try to put on their prognosis of future trend. Meanwhile, “Trendforum” at Heimtextil has succeeded in gaining cult status. Who took advantage of the opportunity to drop in there this time could experience a really successful visualization of the trend statement 2008/09, worked out by five internationally renowned designers. Their claim amounts to: “An aesthetic turn towards a new purism“ - Well, we are awaiting this full of expectation. Clarity of form and aesthetic purism make up the core of Nya Nordiska design right from the start. Regarding our own “trend barometer”, some favourites already emerge. The new Nya Nordiska Storybook “New Castle” was overwhelmingly accepted by a lot of our clients. They had asked for a book like this long ago. All our recommendations for an elegant country style are combined there. The storybook includes the new beauties with embroidery and check patterns like Ascot, Derby, Milrose and Somerset, but also approved articles like Jota, Kappa and Alpha in the successful country colour schemes.
