March 2008 sees the launch of ‘Amari’, the second
collection of prints and wallpapers from Sanderson by
designer, Maggie Levien at London Design Week.
Following on from 2007’s highly successful ‘Pompom’
collection, this new selection continues to explore Levien’s
enduring passion for Eastern imagery, arts and textiles and
further extends Sanderson’s portfolio of smart,
contemporary designs.
The Amari collection has been imbued with an ethereal
quality, with many of the designs taking their names from
Greek nymphs or goddesses. Motifs are taken from a host
of eclectic sources, from an antique Indian pashmina
carpet to a Japanese textile, and are reworked in Levien’s
distinctive handwriting; stylized florals, boldly depicted yet
with lightness and femininity in the design and colouring.
The collection, comprising five print designs and six
companion and complementary wallpapers, is ideal for
drapes and upholstery.
